I went to Kakegawa Kachoen, which is very close to the birds. I Recommended for the people who like animals as well as birds.
I like animals. This time, I went to Kakegawa Kachoen, which I have always been interested in. The most famous one in Kakegawa Kachoen is “Hashibilloko”. There are many other birds, so I’m curious. To be honest, I didn’t expect much until I went there, but when I actually went there, I was very satisfied because the distance to the bird was very close. The distance to the bird is almost zero. I hope that it will be helpful for those who are thinking about going to Kakegawa Kachoen.

About 3 hours from western Tokyo to Kakegawa Interchange. It’s about 5 minutes to Kakegawa Kachoen after getting off at the Kakegawa Interchange, so it’s easy to access it because it’s close to the interchange.
The parking lot has an outdoor parking lot, and there are 400 spaces for ordinary cars. About 20 cars were already parked when we arrived 10 minutes before opening. It was almost full at noon. It seems that there is a temporary parking lot when it is full, but if you want to stop near Kakegawa Kachoen, go early.

Meet the birds at Kakegawa Kachoen.
When it opens at 9:00, pay the entrance fee at the reception and go to see the birds immediately.
Penguin is in front of you.
Go straight from the reception and you will see the penguin pool on your left. A penguin is swimming elegantly in front of you. I didn’t expect it to be seen in such a close vicinity, so my tension increased.
If you purchase additional penguin rice, you can experience feeding the penguin. There is also an option to take a commemorative photo with the penguin.
When going to the event venue, there are all small raptors
When you proceed to the indoor area, small birds of prey have stopped quietly on your left.
Is the distance with the birds a little over 1m?
It will reach you if you reach out.
Parakeet and pool area
Beyond that is the Parakeet and Pool area. Birds like parakeets and pheasants are free-range here.
You can purchase bird rice as an option. If you have rice, a parakeet will come and you can experience handing rice.
Also, the pool here has a big pirarc. I was surprised because I never expected to see the biggest freshwater fish in such a place.
Crow hat bird and spoonbill square
As the name suggests, there were crow hat birds and spoonbills, as well as medium to large-sized birds. It is also free range. I also had a Green-winged Macaw, but I was disappointed that I could not see it nearby because I was in a tall scale.
The innermost part is a shoebill.
There is a shoebill at the far end. Unfortunately I didn’t get out of the room when I went, so I couldn’t see that scary face. I hope you can see it when you go.
The end of the indoor area is the waterside of toucans and ibis
Toucan was in this area. This is also a free range, so unless the bird escapes, bring it close to you. I’m impressed because I have never seen a toucan so close. It is a very nice beak. The texture of the feathers around my eyes looked like something artificial. I was able to observe every corner because I was so mature.
There are ducks and swans in the outdoor area.
In the outdoor area, ducks and swans swim gracefully in the pond. There was a pelican in the back of the pond.
Emu was looked like a dinosaur.
There is an EMU on the EMU Ranch. You can come and go here freely and see the Emu for the first time. I could touch it gently. The feathers were hard and looked like some kind of hard plant. The texture of the face and legs is a dinosaur. The bark was also like a dinosaur.
The owl next to the reception at the end
Finally, I finished watching the world owls next to the reception.

I went to Kakegawa Kachoen from Tokyo by car. It is very close to the birds and you can observe the gentle birds carefully. You can also experience feeding by paying additional fees. It is highly recommended for people who like animals as well as adults and children. You really ought to go and see!
In addition, good ramen in Kakegawa. Nakanishiya Shokudo.
I had ramen at Kakegawa for lunch.
I went to the Nakanishiya shokkudo.
The appearance of the shop is like a small hut. The space is small and there are only 4 seats at the counter and 2 tables for 4 people. The parking lot had space for two cars.
I ordered char siu men.
It’s a traditional ramen that looks like Chinese noodles.
Chicken soy sauce soup is delicious! Also, the char siu was thick and the taste was excellent.
I’m glad I made the pork noodles! ! !
It was so delicious, so if you go to Kakegawa Kachoen, be sure to check it out as well.
