Jabra Elite 65t Review. Skype and Zoom mainly on Mac.
Do you use wireless earphones? I’m worried about perfect wireless, so I was impressed by using a cheap one of about 3,000 yen. I bought a Jabra Elite 65t because I wanted something better and I had a lot of conference calls, so I bought something expensive. I tried using it immediately, so I will write down the feeling of use. I hope it will be helpful for those who are considering purchasing.
Jabra Elite 65t opened.
The color I purchased is gold beige. When you open the box, the case is at the top, the Elite 65t is in the center, and the manual and charging USB cable and earpiece are in the box at the bottom.
Jabra Elite 65t texture.
I like the beige color part because it has a fine matte texture. The metal parts look more like champagne than gold. It has a very elegant texture.
Jabra Elite 65t fitting.
By default, M is attached to the earpiece. For now, install it as it is. Thanks to the shape of the body, it fits in my ears very well. It doesn’t feel cramped and doesn’t feel like falling easily when you hang around your neck.
When I changed the earpiece to L for trial, I was worried about the size of the earpiece when attaching and detaching. I was especially worried about the feeling of being pulled when I took it off. So, I decided to use M for the earpiece.
Pairing with Macbook pro
I plan to use it mainly with Skype and Zoom, so first pair it to the Mac. Open the Bluetooth setting, put the multifunction button on the right earphone and press and hold it to enter the pairing mode. Then Elite 65t appears on the Bluetooth setting screen, so select it. I was able to connect easily.
I plan to use it on my iPhone, so pair it here as well. As a precaution, I turned off Bluetooth on the Mac. As with Mac, open the Bluetooth setting screen of the iPhone and press and hold the multifunction button on the right earphone to enter the pairing mode. Since Elite 65t appears, select it in the same way and complete pairing successfully.
The pairing process itself is easy, and if you have set up wireless earphones even once, you can do it without problems.
By the way, if both are set to Bluetooth, both will be paired. In that case, the one connected later will have priority. If you are sure to use either one, turn off the Bluetooth of the one you do not use.
Operation feeling.
The operability of the multi-function button on the right earphone has a solid click feeling, and I think that incorrect operation will not occur easily. The volume / skip button on the left earphone can be operated without mistakes because it has a protrusion. I think it has a very good interface.
Sound
Skype and Zoom
I used it on Skype and Zoom immediately, but of course I can hear the other party’s voice well, of course, it is a manufacturer making a device that is supposed to be used on a PC, and there are only 4 microphones, so this voice He will pick it up well. In the presentation of about 10 minutes, it ended without any interruption. During the question and answer session, I heard that both the questions and the answers were clearly heard, so I went smoothly. I am very satisfied.
Music
When you listen to normal music, it may not fit because you have a preference for the sound, but I’m not so particular about the sound from the earphones, so there is nothing wrong with listening to it.
Sound insulation.
The Elite 65t claims noise canceling, but it is passive noise canceling. This is the sound insulation due to the physical structure of the earpiece. It is not an active noise canceling that picks up the surrounding sound with a microphone like Bose or Sony and applies the opposite phase sound to cancel it. However, due to the good fit, ambient noise is moderately suppressed.
Hear through
The thing I was most impressed with was the hear-through function. Click on the multifunction button on the right earphone twice to turn on / off hear-through. I’m writing this article on a Macbook pro while listening to music, but I can hardly hear the sound of key touch with hear-through OFF. However, when you turn on hear-through, you can hear the sound of key touch. You can also hear the sound of the person next to you sitting around. I was surprised at this. I don’t think it is necessary to take off the earphones in situations where you need to hear the surrounding sounds and voice, for example, at the train or at the cash register.
Summary
I wrote about the Jabra Elite 65t about its appearance, pairing and usability. I am very satisfied with it. I hope that it will be helpful for those who are thinking about the model by purchasing wireless earphones.
